Director for North America at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Robert Nabors is Senior Director for North America at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The primary goals of the foundation are to enhance healthcare and reduce extreme poverty across the globe, and to expand educational opportunities in the U.S. The foundation’s North America team is responsible for government relations activity at the federal and state level, as well as in Canada. Additionally, the North America team supports the development and implementation of policies and communications strategies to advance our work in domestic education and economic mobility in the United States.
Nabors is also the Executive Director of the Gates Policy Initiative, which focuses on federal policy in the United States.
Prior to joining the foundation, Nabors served in the Federal government for 20 years serving in various capacities, including as Staff Director of the House Appropriations Committee; Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget; and Director of Legislative Affairs and Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy for the White House.
